In my 60's, I remember Charro in the 70's very well. For a time in the 70's, it seemed Charro was everywhere and in everything!! However, with all that fame and all that spotlight for that handful of years, I never ONCE saw her play classical guitar!! That right there shows you clearly, Hollywood portrays these incredibly talented people, in the way THEY want, for THEM to capitalize on! Feeling classical guitar would not make them any money, the fact she was an incredibly talented guitarist went basically unknown. Instead she was portrayed as a loud, funny, and rather obnoxious goofball...

She’s the complete entertainer and she was a bombshell beauty with all her beautiful blonde locks in the 1970’s on US TV. She’s about 85-ish now. She is an uninhibited ray of sunshine in almost all interviews. Smart woman and talented which was very useful and versatile for the 60’s/70’s variety show type television.

I saw Charo once live and spontaneously wrote her a poem. I doubt she kept it, if it was any good, it needed more work to match her talent. This is just to let you know how she can inspire people. She is and was very nice. You can tell she's serious yet she performs so perfectly she becomes one with the song and it extends into the audience. Its a gift from her to you.
